We’re Hiring! Join Standing Tall as our Head of Partnerships

Standing Tall – what we do

Standing Tall is an award-winning social business helping people leave homelessness for good. We match each person we help with a stable job, a safe home and 12 months of relational support. It’s the combination of these three that’s making all the difference. 4 out of 5 people we help are still off the streets and in the same job 12 months later. We’re helping at least 100 people across 7 cities this year.

When a person is ready, we match them into a stable real Living Wage job with one of our employer partners. These include Network Rail, Amey, Barclays and ISS. We then ensure the people we’re helping have a safe home with one our Amici Hosts (a person with a spare room who we support). After 6 months of living with one of our Amici Hosts, the person is ready to get their own place. Thirdly, we have a Talent Scout in each of our cities working on a one-to-one basis with the person for at least 12 months.

We charge our employer partners a placement fee for each person we introduce into their workforce. In total, these placement fees currently cover 70% of our total expenditure. We’ve been working in Birmingham since 2020, and in London and Manchester since 2022. Last year we began working in Liverpool, Leeds and Bristol and we’re currently starting operations in the East Midlands. In November 2023 we won Social Enterprise UK’s ‘One to Watch’ Award. We’re ambitious to scale our working model across the UK and internationally.
